At present CAI offers the choice from two standards to medical laboratories, according to which they will be assessed – consistent to the point of view of ILAC.CAI carries out accreditation of medical laboratories according to ČSN EN ISO 15189.
The assessment proceeds in compliance with the criteria standard and methodical instruction MPA 10-02- to the application of ČSN EN ISO 15189 in the frame Czech accreditation system.
Laboratory can decide on a more general standard ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025, according to which medical laboratories were assessed in the past.
CAI also offers parallel assessment of medical laboratories following both standards.
