On October 8-10, 2024, the plenary meeting of the international accreditation organizations IAF International Accreditation Forum and ILAC International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation took place in Berlin after a year. The main topic of the meeting was the final preparation of the merger of both organizations into one global accreditation organization, which will be called the Global Accreditation Cooperation, or GLOBAC. Of course, the current stakeholders of both organizations will also be included in this organization. The first ever, formal, meeting of the GLOBAC General Assembly took place in Berlin, which began the process of registering the organization. The joint plenary meeting of ILAC and IAF included the ceremonial signing of agreements with new members, or the expansion of multilateral agreements.
