Czech Accreditation Institute, a public benefit corporation (CAI) reminds all medical laboratories with accreditation according to ČSN EN ISO 15189 ed. 2:2013 that, in accordance with the ILAC resolution, the validity of these certificates expires on December 31, 2025.
Assessment of a laboratory according to ČSN EN ISO 15189 ed. 3:2023 is possible only at the request of the entity. CAI must decide on the application within 120 days of its receipt. We therefore recommend that applications be submitted no later than 2 September 2025. A documented description of the management system (e.g. Quality Manual) according to ČSN EN ISO 15189 ed. 3:2023 must be sent with the application.
