Information regarding IAF Resolution 2024-19

CAI informs that IAF Resolution 2024-19 (EA Resolution 2024 (56) 09) entered into force on 17.4.2026. This resolution imposes an obligation on the accreditation body to have legally enforceable validation and verification arrangements with the verification and validation bodies accredited by it, which prevent these bodies from issuing unaccredited validation and verification statements/opinions in the areas for which they are accredited. This requirement is fulfilled by the accredited verification and validation body fulfilling the obligations arising from the accreditation, in particular, adhering to the accreditation body's policy on the use of the accreditation mark, and is therefore already verified as part of the accreditation process.

Accredited Validation and Verification Bodies must display the accreditation symbol or a reference to their accredited status, including the identification of the accreditation body, on the validation/verification documentation for all engagements initiated 36 months after 17 October 2024, i.e. from 17 October 2027. Any exception to the use of the accreditation symbol or reference to accreditation status must be justified to the accreditation body and, if accepted by the accreditation body, the validation and verification is still considered accredited.
