On March 12 and 13, 2019, CAI representatives participated in 21st meeting of the Horizontal Harmonization Commission of the European Organization for Accreditation Cooperation (EA HHC). The meeting focused on the concept of risk in the sense of the revised ISO/IEC 17011:2017 standard, its assessment in the accreditation process and the harmonisation of the procedure of European accreditation bodies in this regard. Furthermore, the updates of EA documents in connection with the revised standard were discussed and issues of common importance to ensure the uniform activity of accreditation bodies, which is a necessary condition for the mutual recognition of accreditation results within the European and global accreditation infrastructure.
