The Czech Accreditation Institute's filing office serves to receive documents in both paper and digital form.

Mailing address for receiving documents in digital form is: mail@cai.cz.

Submission pursuant to Act No. 22/1997 Coll., on technical requirements for products, or Act No. 500/2004 Coll., Administrative Procedure Code, as amended, sent to the address mail@cai.cz, must be signed with a guaranteed electronic signature based on a qualified certificate issued by an accredited certification service provider.

The filing office is open for receiving documents in paper form and in digital form on portable technical data carriers during the filing office's operating hours:

Documents in digital form can be delivered to the post office at the following addresses: portable technical data carriers:

  1. CD
  2. DVD
  3. USB Flash Drive.

Maximum size  messages transmitted in digital form to the electronic address of the filing office, including attachments, may be 10 MB.

The filing office accepts documents in digital form to the filing office's electronic address or on portable technical data carriers in the following data formats: pdf, doc, xls, html and rtf, or other formats compatible with MS Office 2000 and higher.

Documents in digital form can also be delivered to the Czech Accreditation Institute office via datové schránky.

A data message delivered via a data mailbox consists of an envelope and message content. The maximum allowed size of a data message is 20 MB..

A data message in which malicious software has been detected is not processed. If the sender's email address can be determined from the received message, a notification of the detection of malicious software will be sent to that address.
