CAI foreign projects

In recent years, employees of the Czech Accreditation Institute have regularly participated in international projects aimed at developing accreditation systems in other countries.

Projects we have collaborated on:


IPA Twinning Project SR 13 IB EC 01 Strengthening Capacities of National Quality Infrastructure and Conformity Assessment Services in the Republic of Serbia

Czech Accreditation Institute, a public benefit corporation, as a member of the consortium consisting of the Czech Metrology Institute (ČMI) and the Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing (ÚNMZ) (ÚNMZ), participated not only in the organization of the project, but also in the preparation and implementation of training courses, seminars and study visits related to part (component) No. 3 – QI Capacity & Technical Regulations. This part also included the area of ​​accreditation. The project lasted 25 months and was completed on October 17, 2017.
CAI staff participated in the following activities:
– seminar focused on supporting the Serbian accreditation body ATS system in the field of accreditation for notification purposes (3-day mission, Belgrade)
– conducting an analysis of the current state of the ATS accreditation system with regard to its use for notification purposes (4-day mission, Belgrade)
– seminar for ATS staff aimed at creating an accreditation system for notification purposes using document EA 2/17 (5-day seminar, Belgrade)
seminar for staff of existing/potential notified bodies focused on the accreditation process for notification purposes (5-day seminar, Belgrade)
seminar for ATS staff focused on the accreditation of verifiers of greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reports, providers of PT programs and the use of document EA 1/22 in assessing conformity assessment schemes (5-day seminar, Belgrade)

Bilateral Cooperation Agreement between CAI and MOLDAC

Based on a bilateral agreement between the Moldovan accreditation body MOLDAC and the Czech Institute for Accreditation, a public benefit corporation, training of MOLDAC employees took place in the Czech Republic.
 
A three-day visit of MOLDAC staff to Prague was carried out on August 26-28, 2013 with the following program:
– training in the field of medical laboratories according to the requirements of EN ISO 15189
– training in the use of accreditation for authorization/notification purposes
– participation in the assessment of the Testing Laboratory

Support to Quality Infrastructure in the Republic of Belarus – Food Safety


The Czech Accreditation Institute, a public benefit corporation, prepared a training course for the employees of the Belarusian Accreditation Authority (BSCA) for a consortium led by AFNOR. The five-day training course was held in the Czech Republic from September 2 to 9, 2013.

Development of New Accreditation Schemes

Czech Accreditation Institute, a public benefit corporation as a member of the consortium led by Hulla&Comp. Human Dynamics KG, implemented several training courses for the staff of the Accreditation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BATA). Individual events took place not only in Bosnia, but also in the Czech Republic.

– training in the field of inspection bodies according to the requirements of EN ISO/IEC 17020 with a focus on the field of lifting equipment and elevators (two-day training, Sarajevo – Bosnia and Herzegovina) – 2012
– training of certification bodies for product certification according to the requirements of the EN 45011 standard (two-day training, Sarajevo – Bosnia and Herzegovina) – 2012
– training in the field of certification bodies for the certification of persons according to the requirements of the EN ISO/IEC 17024 standard with a focus on the field of NDT (two-day training, Sarajevo – Bosnia and Herzegovina) – 2012
– three-week study stays of employees of the accreditation body BATA in Prague focusing on the area of ​​certification of products, people and management systems – 2012

Czech Accreditation Institute, a public benefit corporation as a member of the consortium led by Hulla&Comp. Human Dynamics KG, implemented training for employees of the Georgian Accreditation Authority (GAC) and top management and employees of accredited entities. Individual events took place not only in Georgia, but also in the Czech Republic.

Support to standards, certification and accreditation in Albania

Czech Accreditation Institute, a public benefit corporation as a member of the consortium led by IBF, prepared and implemented 3 three-day training courses in Albania within the framework of this project, focused on the implementation of international accreditation standards in the field of inspection bodies, certification bodies for product certification, calibration laboratories. The project also included training for employees of the Albanian accreditation body in Prague, where, in addition to theoretical training at the headquarters of the Czech Accreditation Institute, they could also participate in their own assessment. The training was intended for employees of the Albanian accreditation body Drejorija e Akreditimit (DA), top management of laboratories and universities in Tirana, but also for representatives of state administration and other institutions.

HOT 1 – Specific training for staff of accreditation bodies

Czech Accreditation Institute, a public benefit corporation, cooperated within the HOT 1 project on the development of accreditation systems in the West Balkan region (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia). The training was attended by representatives of accreditation bodies.
