The theme of this year's World Accreditation Day is the sustainability of economic growth and the environment.
The global economy is largely dependent on healthy ecosystems, yet we continue to put these ecosystems under enormous stress and consume their resources at an alarming rate. Accreditation, together with other quality infrastructure tools, including metrology, standardization, conformity assessment and market surveillance, can support the transition to a sustainable economy and more sustainable forms of production.
