Public Sector Assurance

The international organizations ILAC and IAF, in close collaboration with IEC, ISO and IIOC (Independent International Organization for Certification), have created a new Public Sector Assurance website.

The aim of the Public Sector Assurance website is to present examples from around the world where public administrations use accredited conformity assessment as a means of achieving public policy objectives.

The use of accredited conformity assessment is illustrated by a number of case studies demonstrating how:

  • State administration bodies can strengthen their performance by using accredited conformity assessment within their apparatus,
  • Government authorities can support business performance by encouraging the use of accredited conformity assessment,
  • accredited conformity assessment can help government authorities meet their objectives,
  • Accredited conformity assessment helps government authorities with regulation.
