"Accreditation means official recognition (represented by the issuance of a Certificate of Accreditation) that an accredited body is competent to carry out specific activities."
The accreditation of validation and verification bodies is carried out according to the accreditation standard EN ISO/IEC 17029:2020 Conformity assessment - General principles and requirements for validation and verification bodies. The requirements of the standard are also applicable for the verification and validation of environmental information ČSN EN ISO 14065:2022 General principles and requirements for bodies validating and verifying environmental information. Normative requirements are further specified in the methodological guide MPA 40-02– “On the application of ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17029:2020. Conformity assessment – General principles and requirements for validation and verification bodies in the accreditation system of the Czech Republic”.
