Czech Accreditation Institute, a public benefit corporation, has been accepting applications for accreditation according to ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17043:2023 since July 1, 2025, in accordance with the authorization of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic to carry out accreditation of proficiency testing providers pursuant to Section 15 of Act No. 22/1997 Coll., on technical requirements for products.

"Accreditation means official recognition (represented by the issuance of a Certificate of Accreditation) that an accredited body is competent to carry out specific activities."

Accreditation of proficiency testing providers is carried out according to the accreditation standard ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17043:2023 Conformity assessment - General requirements for the competence of proficiency testing providers. The requirements of this standard are specified in the document MPA 20-01-25 methodological guide "On the application of ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17043:2023 Conformity assessment - General requirements for the competence of proficiency testing providers in the accreditation system of the Czech Republic".

The basic steps of the accreditation process (application submission, assessment process, implementation of supervisory visits) and the associated administrative activities are described in the document MPA 00-01-.. "Basic rules of the accreditation process". The document MPA 00-02-.. "Regulatory basis of the accreditation process" contains an overview of all documents used in the accreditation process of proficiency testing providers, including documents from the EA and ILAC organizations.

Accreditation certificates according to ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17043:2010 remain valid until the end of the transitional period, i.e. until 31 May 2026, unless their validity is set for an earlier date. If you have any questions, please contact the guarantor.
