CAI has established basic rules for identifying corruption risks to which an organization is exposed in its activities. The rules are based on the Departmental Internal Anti-Corruption Program of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, which was developed on the basis of a task arising from a government resolution.
The objective of the Internal Anti-Corruption Program (IPP) is to eliminate or, as far as possible, reduce the conditions for the occurrence of corrupt conduct within CAI. Corruption and/or fraud can be committed by CAI employees (internal corruption) as well as by members of the public or contractors (external corruption).
External whistleblower complaints can be submitted:
- by written notification – can be sent or delivered in person to the address: Czech Accreditation Institute, a public benefit corporation, Hájkova 2747/22, Žižkov, 130 00 Prague 3
- via data box: c4cnq5k
- via the electronic mailing address: ipp@cai.cz
Minimum content of a report of suspected corruption:
- identification of persons suspected of committing unlawful acts and all other persons benefiting from unlawful acts,
- a detailed and coherent description of the unlawful conduct, including the time sequence,
- specific evidence of wrongdoing or other specific information supporting suspicion of wrongdoing.
Any reporting of suspected corruption is subject to the whistleblower protection principle, which is a set of procedures and rules that provide support and protection to persons who report possible corruption or other illegal or unethical conduct. CAI ensures that the identity of the whistleblower cannot be disclosed without their consent and seeks to protect the whistleblower from any disadvantage as a result of the report.
CAI supports its employees, collaborators and any other persons in being able to point out any conduct that could be in conflict with binding rules or the values that CAI upholds.
